An immigrant from Jamaica , Daila Espeut- Jones entered the United States in 1979 as a 15 year-old . She became a resident at a home in Mattapan , Massachusetts that later became the demise of her virginity . The home became toxic , and this led her to join the United States Army in 1982 and ultimately serving 22 years .

Today Daila is a decorated and retired First Sergeant . She is also an entrepreneur , public speaker , veteran ’ s advocate and community volunteer .

Valencia Powell is a graduate of St . Louis Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree in General Transfer Studies . She has over 30 years of experience as an Advanced P . C . T ., a C . N . A ., and Certified Pharmacy Technician . She became a Certified Nurse Assistant at Kirkwood Manor and obtained a certificate as an Advanced Patient Care Technician from Barnes Jewish Hospital .

Dr . Lana McLetchie has earned a Doctorate degree in Health Science and a Master ’ s in Business Administration . She served ten years in the US Army . Dr . McLetchie ’ s earlier career was in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry for over fourteen years .
