Who Is He ? Who Is She ?...
Imagine meeting someone with whom you soon start a relationship , someone who you ’ d confide in , someone you ’ d fall in love with , and , someone you ’ d marry . Everything is great , fantastic , your dream love , best friend and confidant is all you ’ ve ever desired . You run your daily errands and go to work , letting each other know by call or text that you ’ ve arrived safely .
Fast forward two years , you go to work and make that usual call or text to inform your loved one that you arrived safely . Unexpectantly , there ’ s no answer or call back . Then you remember there was a black sedan sitting outside your house before you left for work and it looked suspicious . You never saw this vehicle before and you start worrying , did something happen , are they ok ? But wait , you have surveillance cameras inside the house as well as the perimeter which you can monitor from your phone .
You open the program on your phone only to see the interior cameras blacked out and the exterior camera re-positioned . Your calls still go unanswered . You look at your phone again and to your surprise , live images of police activity , crime scene tape , law enforcement vehicles , your pet dog running about , but , what you observe is even more chilling . You see what appears to be tape or chalk that outlines a body .
Worried sick , you ’ re totally confused and can ’ t function . A few minutes elapse and your phone rings . You answer only to receive an introduction from a person identifying themselves as a detective , inquiring as to whether you ’ re safe . They ask for your location and advise they are enroute to speak with you . You still have no clue as to what ’ s going on or what ’ s occurred at your house and if your loved one is safe and if what transpired there had anything to do with the suspicious black vehicle outside your house as you departed for work .
Upon arrival to your work place , you ’ re approached by the detectives ; your co-workers are also unaware of what transpired so all they can do hope all is fine . You ’ re escorted to an office where they explain to you , with heavy hearts , that your loved one has died of a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head . Too much to grasp , screams and cries of how and why are heard throughout the office . But that isn ’ t the worst of it . Just when you thought you knew the love of your life , your world as you knew it is about to crash . Before a question of tell me what ’ s going on or what happened can be uttered , the detectives advise that they were at the house to serve a warrant and possibly arrest your loved one for ICAC ( Internet Crimes Against Children ). You see , he had been previously arrested several years before they met and arrested again for violating the terms of a court order . All of this occurred years before meeting and subsequently getting married .
You type his name into the search engine and the results were shocking . Mug shots , descriptions of the arrests with dates and the forty counts against him in another county were available for all to see . His acts were very well concealed from anyone who knew him , friends , family , co-workers , but , more importantly , his best friend , his relatively new wife . She had no idea ; he was well known in several states with all the events he participated in as well as his motivational speaking engagements . Law enforcement was there to accomplish their duties , to get a predator off the streets , but instead of facing those very friends and family and his loving wife , instead of being arrested , arraigned , appearing in court to answer the charges and potentially going to prison , he produced a weapon from his person and in front of the officers and neighbors , he put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger .
He left behind his grieving and loving wife , with no answers to the multitude of questions . She forever will remember this day , in which she was left behind to suffer in agony . Others , her friends and family wonder if she is hurt more by his suicide or that she lived with this man for almost three years and had no idea , no clue , as to his illicit activities .
The intent of this true story is not to judge anyone or underscore the grieving process of friends and family . No names have been used , no locations have been identified and some of the facts and accounts were intentionally omitted . The real purpose of this very true incident is to enlighten everyone and make it known that everyone is not who they profess to be .
Before you get involved with anyone , before you get serious with him , before you decide to marry her , use your resources to investigate who you ’ re really dealing with . My heart goes out to the friends , family and his grieving widow . Do what it takes to protect yourself ; don ’ t risk your well-being , your life or that of your family .
